Fascia Repair in Monroe, Georgia

Horizon Roofing Fascia Repair Call (770) 746-7611

Has time & moisture affected your fascia?

Fascia and soffits are the part of a roof’s structure closest to the gutters. This means that they are the first things to be damaged by water if the home’s gutters become clogged. In addition, they can also fall victim to an infestation of insects or the nesting of birds and other animals. If you have noticed discoloration and peeling paint, it can be a tell-tale sign that the soffits and fascia of your home have been damaged.

Here at Horizon Roofing, we provide fascia repair services in Walton County, Barrow County, Gwinnett County, the cities of Alpharetta, Athens, Atlanta, Auburn, Braselton, Bethlehem, Buford, Conyers, Dacula, Flowery Branch, Grayson, Hoschton, Jefferson, John’s Creek, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Lithonia, Loganville, Marietta, McDonough, Monroe, Roswell, Snellville, Social Circle, Sugar Hill, and Winder, GA and the surrounding Metro Atlanta Georgia areas including all of Georgia.

“I would definitely recommend this company to everyone. Tyler handled the service and he was awesome. He was very detailed and the only thing I had to do was to sign on the dotted line. He made the process go very smoothly and quickly with no questions from the insurance company. I am very pleased and happy and satisfied with my roof and it made my house pop.”

Types of Fascia Board Materials

Although wood is your typical material used, there are many other varieties. Below you can learn about the other materials used to make your most common fascia boards.

Vinyl Fascia Boards

Known for being exceptionally durable and easy to install, another benefit of vinyl is that its repair and maintenance costs are lower than other materials, like wood. Vinyl, also known as PVC (polyvinyl chloride), is a type of plastic. While it’s not a very eco-friendly material, it does last a long time. Available in a variety of colors, vinyl does not rot but can be prone to staining from algae and mildew.

Wooden Fascia Board

Wood is your most used material for residential applications. Like the roof decks and soffits, fascia can be made from pine lumber or with wood siding, it can be made out of cedar. You have the option of a smooth or rough finish based on your personal preference.

While not as long-lasting as vinyl, when treated and maintained correctly, wood will still last a considerable amount of time. It’s also better for the environment and relatively affordable. Although wood can be prone to rot, especially during storm season, a coat or two of exterior paint can protect it from moisture while also contributing to your curb appeal.

Aluminum Fascia Boards

Like vinyl, aluminum is a very low-maintenance material that is also exceptionally durable. Often, aluminum is used to protect already existing wood fascia because it is flexible and is an ideal weatherproofing solution. Like wood, aluminum is easy to paint and available in tons of colors.

Composite Fascia Boards

Although composite is more expensive than other materials, it has benefits to make it worth it. Made from recycled wood chips and sawdust bonded with epoxy resin, composite is rot, mildew, and mold resistant. It’s long-lasting, durable, and can be made to have the look of wood. Also, composite like vinyl and aluminum is available in many colors and styles. It’s weather-resistant and can stand up to even the toughest elements.
